I would like to share our first flight experience with SQ. It is our first time to travel together and the lucky airline is Singapore Airlines 😊. We booked our tickets online for a cost of AED 3,580 and surprisingly we got a baggage allowance of 40 kgs and 7 kgs for hand carry. It is really good compared to other airlines with limited baggage allowance and even meals are not provided by their package. 

We arrived 2 hours before our flight and headed immediately to the check-in counter and there is already a long queue. There are separate counters for First, Business, Premium Economy and Economy passengers as well as online check-in. We immediately go to the online check-in counter and after a few minutes, our bags are tagged and got our boarding pass. For UAE resident, no need to fall in line in immigration, just tap your Emirates ID or passport in smart gates. And then you will just need to wait for the airport train to transfer in your designated boarding gates.

Upon entering the aircraft, you will pass by with the first, business class seats, premium economy seats and lastly, the economy class. The Economy Class is a 3 x 3 x 3 seater except for the last row which is a two-seater with adjustable headrests. You will definitely dream of seating in business class seat 😊

I choose the two-seater seats cos of the proximity to the toilet and it is much cozier. And of course, I choose the window seat coz I love taking pictures and I love to see incredible and breathtaking views. Pillow and blanket already placed on each seat. The seat is very comfortable. Before the flight, the cabin crew came and handed out hot towels.

The pilot was good in his announcement too. SQ also used unique video for safety reminders before take-off. In that video, they market the Singapore top destinations and ending off with Marina Bay Sands.

Flight Information

There is Krisworld Entertainment system with all the useful tools including a USB charging port. They also provided every passenger with a new and comfy earpiece that you can bring home for your souvenir. The entertainment system comes with a selection of movies, shows, music, and even games, all easily accessible through the screen. You will definitely enjoy your hours of travel with this kind of entertainment. My husband really enjoy watching movies and playing some games while I am seriously listening to music 😊

They also gave out the menu prior to take-off.

Honestly, my husband is the one who enjoyed the foods. Snacks and drinks were provided at the start of the flight and after take-off. Lunch was served on board, the fish fillet with mashed potatoes and vegetable or beef stroganoff with mushrooms, green beans, carrot, and boiled potatoes. For the dessert was a mini magnum. Yep, its totally good 😊

Hours before our arrival in Singapore, another round of hot towel were given. They offer either muffin or cinnamon roll.

I would say that my first SQ experience was good. The cabin crews are friendly and helpful. The seat is comfortable too plus the entertainment system is nice for long hours of travel. I highly recommend Singapore Airlines for future flights. Thumbs up to the pilot for a good landing experience 😊 Overall I was very happy with my whole flight on Singapore Airlines.
