Dubai is known as the most luxurious city among the Gulf countries. The city offers great activities to its guests from exotic nightlife to rich experiences. Nonetheless, one activity remains a top among them all – Desert Safari.

The desert safari in Dubai is unique because of the spectacular views of the never-ending desert and the beautiful sky. It has lots of adventures and fun activities like dune bashing, sandboarding, quad biking, camel riding, and a lot more.

I wanted to get out of the city and into the desert. So we did it! We went on a desert safari with colleagues of my husband and it was awesome!

First, upon the desert safari itinerary was dune bashing. I didn’t know it until I did it. It was such a thrill to drive through the desert, it was like riding a rollercoaster, drifting over the tall dunes and my stomach did backflips the whole time as I giggled my head off.

After the adrenaline high of dune bashing, we drove to the desert camp where it was time for the next activity: quad riding!

Bedouin or badawī in Arabic refers to people who live a nomadic lifestyle outside cities and towns.

That was a good thing as there where several cultural performances: belly dancing, the traditional tanoura dance, and a fire show!

While watching these cultural performances, delicious food was being served. Dinner consisted of BBQ chicken, salad, fresh fruits, and more tasty treats.

As we finished eating, light flooded the center of the camp and a woman in a beautiful yellow outfit took the stage. We were treated to a belly dance show involving a big sword and lots of swirling.

There was the opportunity to dress up in UAE national dress, which would be fun for pictures. The kandura for men and abaya for women.

I realized again how lucky I am to be able to travel the world with my husband. It’s a privilege for sure…

The safari is a must do. It gives you the feel of the place. It was a crazy experience during the dune bashing. The driver was like no other. The entertainment was amazing too. We had a great time and we had so much fun. It was a memorable and amazing experience. We highly recommend this trip in Dubai.
